What payment can and cannot buy, and how trading near the record is bounded.
A record is only worth reading if no one can profit from it before its readers do. These are the commitments Eidos keeps so the record stays outside the decisions it covers. What a reader may rely on, and how to cite it, is the reliance page.
The record takes no side
Eidos does not trade, make markets, propose, decide, hold funds or run a market. It reads every engine the same way, from the source and without privileged access, and owns none of them.
Payment never shapes a finding
- Being covered is free and unconditional. Every organization on a covered engine is in the record whether or not it takes part or pays.
- Payment buys access and scoped work, never inclusion, a finding, placement or a recommendation. The six reviews are never paid for.
- A paying client sees its findings when everyone does. It cannot delay, edit or withhold one.
- Fees are disclosed on the record of the organization that pays them, with their terms: the payer, who signed for it, the scope and the fee, fixed before any finding, in the register below and on every page about the organization reviewed.
- Every engagement that reviews an organization is signed by a body other than the team whose decision is judged: its treasury or governance body, never the proposer.
- No organization Eidos reviews pays more than 10% of all fees. Past that, the engagement states the dependence on every page it touches, and no further paid review of that organization is taken until the share falls.
- If anyone funds work on the record, such as decoding an engine or deepening its coverage, the funding is disclosed on every page it touches.
- No single client exceeds 25% of revenue. Until revenue is large enough for that to bind, any dependence is disclosed instead.
Who may pay for what
Decided before any money arrived (30 October 2026), and the same for every payer of a kind.
| Who pays | May buy | May never buy |
|---|---|---|
| Funds and market makers | Depth, history, delivery, memos, alerts and terms. | An earlier or private finding, or a faster judgment. |
| Research desks | A data licence, and co-publication with credit. | A changed figure. |
| DAOs and foundations | A fixed-scope evaluation, disclosed, with the fee fixed before any finding. | Approval of findings before publication. |
| Grant programs | Public goods: the open census, the MCP server, open data. | The paid tier. |
| Engines and launchpads | Disclosed sponsorship of coverage of the whole venue, if ever. | A rating or review of a raise on their platform. |
| Raising teams | A covenant review, published whatever it finds. | A private review, or one they can suppress. |
What Eidos never sells
- A finding, a rating, a placement or a recommendation.
- An earlier, private or faster reading than every reader gets.
- A changed figure, or approval of a finding before it is published.
- A review of a raise paid for by the engine or launchpad hosting it.
- A review the reviewed party can suppress, delay or edit.
- Inclusion in, or exclusion from, the record.
Paid engagements, on the record
No paid engagement has been agreed. The first will be listed here, with its payer, who signed for the payer, the organization it reviews if any, its scope, the fee fixed before any finding, and where its deliverable is published, before any work on it starts.
Published once, to everyone
Every finding carries the time it was released. There is no early feed, draft view or private channel, and a withheld reading is published with its reason, so silence is never a signal. Keyed reads are receipted, so who read what, and when, can be checked from the record's own ledger.
Trading near the record
- Holdings. As of 27 October 2026, Eidos holds no tokens of any organization the record covers. A change is published here within 30 days.
- People who work on Eidos. They may trade, but not a covered organization's token or decision markets while one of its decisions is open, nor within 72 hours after Eidos publishes a finding on it, and never on anything Eidos has not yet published. BTC, ETH, SOL and USD stablecoins are exempt.
- A separate trading entity, if one is formed. An affiliated entity may in future trade or make markets in decision markets. If it does, it will be a separate legal entity with its own books and keys; it will read only what the record has published, at the moment of publication, like any subscriber; it will never trade ahead of a finding; and its positions will be disclosed after each window. Nothing the record publishes will refer to its positions.
Breaches are corrected in public
A failure of any commitment on this page is published as a dated entry in the corrections log, and the findings it touched are checked again.
