The published record is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, redistribute, adapt and build on it, commercially or not, provided you credit it.
What the licence covers
Everything Eidos publishes openly as the record: decision pages and their citations, metrics, series and charts' data, the six reviews' published findings, withheld readings and their reasons, corrections, the ontology, the public API and MCP outputs, and the public data files under /data/.
How to credit it
Write Source: Eidos with the address of what you used and the day you read it. A decision's address is its IRI, https://eidos.software/decisions/<id>/; every decision page states its own citation, and How to cite gives the form for a figure. Say if you changed what you used.
What it does not cover
- Text and documents Eidos quotes or captured from others, such as proposal text, forum posts and organization statements. They belong to their authors; the record cites where they came from.
- The Eidos name and mark. Credit is required, endorsement is not implied: do not suggest Eidos reviewed or approved your work.
- Material that is not published openly, such as protected reports, account data and paid analytical packets. Access to those is governed by the Terms of Service.
- Access to the service itself. The API and MCP endpoints keep their rate limits and terms; the licence covers what they return, not unlimited use of them.
No warranty
The record is provided as it is, as the Terms of Service state. Figures can be corrected later; the corrections log dates each correction, and a reuse should cite the day it read the record.
